I sat on the the floor of the Colorado State Capitol building yesterday for seven hours, watching bigots duke it out with sensible individuals over civil rights. Those basic rights weren’t even granted a turn to be heard in the House. The civil unions bill was effectively killed. My answer? Flip the script, and fuck the system from the inside. Hetero-conservatives concerned with GLBTQs “tainting” the “sanctity” of marriage? Then straights and gays, it’s time we start marrying each other.
